At Velo Motion Cycles, we have 3 Standard Service Packages, named after the appropriate triathlon race distances.Remember, you train hard and eat well. Make sure your bike is in top notch condition too.
1. Sprint Service – €35
- The Sprint Service includes:
- Check and adjustment of brakes,
- Check and inflation of tyres.
- Full check-over of the bike for other problems and to ensure all screws are tightened to the correct torque
- De-grease and re-lube of the chain and replacement of the chain if required
- Full bike clean
The Sprint Service is the mechanical equivalent of a doctor’s medical. If you don’t use your bike a great deal, the Sprint Service is all you may require, so you will gain the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your gears change smoothly, and that your brakes are in working order. We will not undertake any investigative work at the Sprint Service. We will however, highlight any obvious problems that would fall outside the scope of the Sprint Service, noticed during the service. We will also advise you, where possible, should any parts need to be replaced. Naturally, the price of any new parts fitted will be added on to the price of the Sprint Service.
2. Olympic Service – €55
The Olympic Service includes:
- Sprint service, plus:
- Wheels Trued (true minor buckles)
- Bottom bracket re-lubed or replaced as required
- Headset bearings re-lubed or replaced as required
- Full road test
The Olympic Service is the mechanical equivalent to a two week visit to a health farm. For the average user, we recommend this comprehensive service, where we check over the whole bicycle. The Olympic Service comes with a six month warranty on the work carried out. Any new parts required will be highlighted by us, where possible, when the bicycle is received and any issues arising once work commences will be brought to your attention before remedial work is undertaken. The price of any new parts fitted will be added on to the price of the Olympic Service.
3. Ironman Service – €99
- Olympic Service plus:
- All drive train parts removed from the bike, checked, cleaned, lubed and re-fitted
- All serviceable bearings will be stripped and re-greased
- Wheel hubs serviced
The Ironman Service is the mechanical equivalent of being reborn. If you ride every day, we recommend that you treat your bike to an annual Ironman Service. Similarly, if maintenance has been minimal over the years, an Ironman Service will make the bike, ride like new again. All parts of the bicycle are overhauled, new brake and gear cables are fitted, and all serviceable bearings are stripped, re-greased and new balls/sealed bearings fitted. On this service there is no fitting charge for anything, so it is a great time to add new parts, upgrades and replacements. The Ironman Service comes with a 6 month guarantee on the work carried out. Again, the cost of any new parts required (including your choice of cables and bearings) will be highlighted by us where possible when the bicycle is received, but these are not included in the price.
