DK Orthotics & Injury Clinic

Sport has evolved

Founded by an experienced therapist and athlete, DK Orthotics & Physical Therapy uses state-of-the-art assessment equipment and techniques to ensure you get a solution that is precise and unique to your needs.

DK Orthotics Ethos

Our experience helping people recover from sports injuries has given us a deep understanding of how the bodies biomechanics work. This understanding combined with advanced biomechanical software and orthotics 3D diagnostic equipment enables us to properly assess and advice our clients on the best solutions that will get them results. Not everyone tested will need orthotics, but carrying out the biomechanical assessments will help identify muscular imbalance or poor technique. We will then provide the advice and digital feedback you need to achieve your goals. Understanding how your body behaves during your sport is the first step to both improving and staying injury free.

How Do Orthotics Work?

Orthotics help to realign your body into its most efficient and anatomically correct position. These personalized insoles will help heighten proprioception – the neurological messages relayed back and fort from your muscles to your brain – causing faster reaction times and reduces the risk of injury. Orthotics have a great impact on realigning leg length discrepancies helping to level the pelvis, feet alignment, stability and helping distribute energy efficiently throughout the body.

Getting The Right Orthotics

There has been a history of orthotics being improperly used as a ‘fix-all’. At DK Orthotics, we want to introduce sports people and the general public to the benefits of proper assessment and precisely fitted orthotics. The right orthotics can have a massive benefit to a person, in some cases allowing them to run comfortably and pain free for the first time.
